Jake photo

I took this photo a little while back but I think it is just so cute that I wanted to share. My roommate, Angela, and I are trying to get Jake (the husky) off the couch now which is an interesting challenge but hopefully we will be able to accomplish that before the weather gets to warm and he starts shedding. Angela bought a bed for him that stays in the living room but it has turned out to be more loved by the cats as I can only remember one time that he really slept on it without being persuaded.

It is interesting to live in a small house with 5 animals. I wouldn't have so many animals myself in such a small house at least, especially with such a big dog that doesn't like to stay outside, Jake was just too spoiled with his previous owner and he doesn't have free rein of the yard since there is no fence on the side of the house to keep him in the backyard. If we leave him outside he starts yodeling (yes I said yodeling), he can howl, but like a number of huskies he knows how to yodel. When we leave him all alone in the house he will yodel and you can here him as you get into your car. He also likes to keep the cats from fighting by running through the hint of a fight. Also he is a baby which is a good thing and a bad thing it is good because he is not aggressive even with small kids it is bad because if he gets his chain wrapped around anything even a small weed he will start these really high pitched whines and an urgent bark like he is in some kind of trouble.

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving was great, my brother Eric and his family were in town, it was the first time that they have been in Spokane for a holiday in like 3 or 4 years. It was nice to spend time with them and the kids without me being sick this time. My family who lives in Spokane were there, except my brother Doug and his family. We had a lot of fun and it was funny to watch two of my cousins get so happy about having a baby there who was so chubby they thought he was so cute with his chubby little cheeks and arms. It was really nice to have everyone together.
For Christmas all of us siblings were at Dad and Sue's place, that was really special since it was the first time all of us had been together for many years. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me for Christmas so I didn't get any photos. The most special part for me with Christmas was that we all went to church together even my Uncle Jeff who I can only remember coming to church one other time and that wasn't for a Sunday meeting. All of us except Eric were at church because he stayed at the house because he really wasn't feeling good. He was doing better after some rest but he and his family didn't make it to our Aunt Tasma's house to play games so that hopefully he would feel better for driving back to Tacoma the next day.
I hope that we are able to repeat these get together's more often since we are all on the western half of the country again. And no one is going on a mission anytime soon.

Vertigo

So yeah, this was fun in September the same day that my step-brother Matt got married I experienced Vertigo.  At one in the morning on a Saturday I woke up feeling extremely dizzy like after spinning on one of those rides that plaster you to the wall. I wasn't even able to walk three steps because of how dizzy I was and then I wasn't able to crawl very far after that I felt like I was just spinning. I was a little freaked out because I had never experienced it before so I woke my roommate up and thinking that this wasn't going to change anything soon and I didn't feel like I was able to get up at all by myself, I had her call 911 to go to the hospital it took two people to keep me steady on my feet and then after going down the hall I vomited. But of course it's not like that took away my dizziness. After  I got to the hospital I got a MRI and a MRA. And my father showed up soon after I got to the hospital. They gave me an IV and some meds to help me. I had a hard time opening my eyes for any of this and it was horrible to move so I just tried to stay as still as possible. After a couple hours they were going to send me home but first I went to the bathroom and so I had to get in a wheel chair then as I set up I vomited then after transferring to the wheel chair I vomited as I transferred to the toilet I vomited then after transferring back to the wheel chair I vomited, back to the bed I vomited. After all the vomiting they decided to keep me at the hospital for the day which was a good thing because I don't think that I could have taken care of myself for the first 24 hours. I slept a lot and had a bunch of visitors and I went home on Sunday afternoon.
All of this was due to a viral infection in my ear. The meds helped to keep the edge off of the dizziness but I mostly had to just wait for my body to take care of it.
I was out of work for a week and a half and I probably shouldn't have gone back at that point but I knew that I couldn't really take any more time off. It took about a month before I felt like myself again. I slept a lot during the month, afterwords I felt like I was a month behind and that it should still be September. Time passed extremely fast for a while but finally I was able to catch up.During this time my brother and his family (that were living in Pennsylvania) came to Spokane for a few days before moving to Tacoma. I was able to hang out with them for a while but I over exerted myself playing with my nieces so the next day wasn't to fun but I felt that it was worth it since I hadn't spent much time with them. Since then I have been more prone o dizziness when I get really tired but I have been mostly good with getting enough sleep.

Eastern Idaho State Fair

Back in September during Labor day weekend I went with my friend Katie to her parent's house in Idaho Falls (in South Eastern Idaho) I got to see the Body exhibit at the museum and I got to go to the state fair down there.  I loved the exhibit but of course they didn't want people taking pictures.
We also went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. We went last year too another friend of Katie's came with us too.

This was fun to see as people were in these balls some were better then others
in moving around.

We are planning to go to the fair again next year too.
